Portrait by JC Buck

Hi! I am Marvin.

I capture the essence of spaces and places, exploring and conveying the clichés and diverse perspectives they evoke.

My photography is inspired by the vastness of the American landscape, the iconic yet fading Americana culture, and the enduring spirit of road trips. I am drawn to the big skies, the endless highways, and the overlooked remnants of history—old cars, weathered buildings, and neon signs that echo the stories of the past. I also have a deep fascination with the culture of American beach towns—their timeless charm and the traditions they represent. These towns embody a rhythm of life that ebbs and flows with the tourist seasons. This blend of history and seasonal energy is something I love to explore and capture.

I approach my creative process much like planning a road trip: the destination matters, but the journey is where the magic unfolds. When composing a photograph, I look for the beauty in the mundane and the normal, finding the story in lines, colors, and compositions that speak to me. To me, each scene is a window—offering a moment for the viewer to pause, observe, and feel a connection to the space.

Through my photography, I hope to transport viewers into these moments—to experience them as if looking out a window, immersed yet just removed enough to reflect on the stories they hold.
